The 42K race route for the Cebu City Marathon 2010
Four days to go for the Cebu City Marathon 2010! For racers and spectators alike, the routes for the 5K, 21K and the grueling 42K as well as the regulations are now posted.
Among the rules, the following points are important:
- No race bib, no entrance
- no wheeled vehicles are allowed in the racecourse between 0400H and 0930H
- only registered participants allowed on the race route
- 7 hour cut off time for the 42K
- no chip, no time
- to discourage (?) protest, a protest filing fee of P1,000 is levied
One sure interesting thing about this marathon is that its the first outside Manila that ChampionChip sensors will be used by the participants (except for the 5k) in an official race. This will ensure accurate and on the dot timing.
I'm Estan Cabigas, a freelance photographer blogger and traveler. I just started to seriously run last 2 March 2010 and for the past few months, I've improved greatly in my running as well as lost pounds in the process. I'm gunning for a full marathon by 2011.
