My Haide Acuna photos published in front RUNNER

Page spread feature on Haide Acuna with my photo taken during the BDM102 Ultramarathon

frontRUNNER June 2010 issue cover
I just got my copy of the latest issue of frontRUNNER (June 2010, published bi-monthly), the magazine for runners by runners that features Haide Acuna, Cebuano ABS-CBN talent and lawyer who I was able to photograph during the BDM102 (Bataan Death March) Ultramarathon last March.
Her story, entitled Bataan Death March 102: Never Say Die, recounts her experience in this very punishing race, now on it’s second year, with inputs also from her lone support crew and husband, Major Eugene Cabusao (PA). Do read their inspiring story in the magazine.
My copy was personally delivered by the managing editor, Consuelo Mendoza. Such service wasn’t really expected but I think they do make the rounds for their subscribers. However, as I’m no sub, I appreciated it very much especially that, in exchange for publishing three photographs that I took, gratis et amore, I asked for copies of back issues too.

I'm Estan Cabigas, a freelance photographer blogger and traveler. I just started to seriously run last 2 March 2010 and for the past few months, I've improved greatly in my running as well as lost pounds in the process. I'm gunning for a full marathon by 2011. I shoot races as well.

My flagellant image is Editor's Choice in the National Geographic Magazine May 2010 issue.
